We help teams turn complex field data into a single, actionable working picture so leaders see what matters next. By filtering noise and highlighting context, our solutions reduce delays, improve safety, and support faster, better decisions for in oil and gas, construction, and telecommunications. Learn how a clearer operational view boosts efficiency and accountability. 📈 #OperationsExcellence #FieldData #ProcessImprovement

Integrating our data collection during our Flow Control activities we are able to obtain data pertaining to, Vehicle Type, Time, Date, Temperature, PPE, Cycle time on site,

At Right Flow OS, we believe the key to reducing these costs isn't just about having more eyes on the ground; it’s about having the right data.

We recently wrapped up an extensive field trial at location near Grand Prairie, where we put our platform to the test. The results are a prime example of how translating raw field data into actionable business intelligence can unlock $1MM to $1.78MM in actualized yearly savings potential for our clients CAPEX.

Here is how we did it, what we learned, and how we are using these insights to build the future of oilfield operations.

The Trial by the Numbers: What Happens on Location?

Starting In, 2026, Right Flow went live on-site with a single deployed unit. Through our integrated systems, we captured a massive volume of real-time activity, recording over 134,000 total shift events alongside critical operational and safety data:

  • 95,148 Day Shift Events

  • 39,649 Night Shift Events

  • 10 Completions Events

  • 9 Near Misses

  • 6 Safety Events

During this trial, the operation experienced a series of cascading logistical and safety issues, including several high-risk events where vehicles attempted to navigate the site without on-site traffic direction.

With localized "pinch point" emerged. It began with a minor vehicle incident and several near misses, which ultimately bottlenecked the lease road and delayed critical sand deliveries. Just these incidents alone resulted in $53k in associated capital loss and triggered costly Lost Time. Unmanaged bottlenecks quickly compile into thousands of dollars of waste.

How Right Flow OS Intervenes to Cut Costs

Our Flow Control proprietary analytics leverage advanced field cameras and edge computing to turn blind spots into visible, manageable data.

Through this trial, we upgraded our software to full cloud-service integration (Right Flow Cloud Portal). This allowed for real-time querying and instantly added features like speed identification, on-site cycle-time recording, quantitative event tracking, and Queue history.

By analyzing the data from this trial, we identified three core areas where we can radically reduce lost time and lower average hourly lost time costs through completions activities by 50% to 75%:

2. Coordinated Logistics & "Prime" Management

  • The Insight: Sand and trucking delays are rarely isolated; they are usually the result of poor coordination and scheduling full inefficiencies.

  • The Solution: By managing logistics directly on-lease and collaborating closely with delivery service providers, we can eliminate delays. Acting as a "prime" coordinator on behalf of the operator helps ensure that logistics run smoothly, preventing costly delivery lapses before they happen.

3. From Reaction to Prevention with Automated Alerts

  • The Insight: Field personnel are too busy to constantly monitor dashboards.

  • The Solution: We are building out automated notifications and alerts designed to align with strict operator mandates. When something goes out of specification like a sand truck exceeding its 40-minute dwell time or a pad site reaching its 70% capacity threshold the system triggers automated email and SMS alerts, allowing supervisors to resolve issues before they result in downtime.

Engineering Better Data: Camera Upgrades and Permanent Infrastructure

One of the most valuable outcomes of our field testing is the constant calibration and evolution of our hardware.

Our Improvement: To deliver consistent, best-in-class data collection without operational interruption, we are transitioning to stand-alone camera towers located off-site or off-road. By using stationary setups, we've eliminated the need for recalibration, allowing operators to focus entirely on on-site safety and logistics.

The Bottom Line

For an independent Alberta operator, a single optimized completions pad can see localized savings of $37k to $112k through active flow management and hazard reduction. When scaled across multiple drilling and completions pads, that small site optimization translates into $500k to $1MM+ in yearly capital saved.

By integrating field data directly into intelligent, cloud-hosted cost-saving solutions, Right Flow doesn't just watch your operations we help you optimize them.
